‘Satisfied’ with bureau’s performance, PM tells Chairman NAB in first meeting

ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday at the Prime Minister’s House.

During the meeting, PM Khan expressed his satisfaction over the performance of anti-graft body and assured chairman NAB of government’s cooperation in further strengthening the bureau.

Chairman NAB also felicitated the premier on assuming the top ministerial office.

On this occasion, PM Khan again stressed on prioritizing transparency and eliminating corruption from the system. He further emphasized on the notion of across-the-board accountability of all corrupt elements present in the society.

The chief executive of the state reiterated to provide all possible support to amplify the work of bureau.

A number of high profile officials have met Prime Minister Khan so far.

On August 18, newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan took the oath of office at a ceremony at the President House.

President Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath to Mr Khan a day after he was elected as 22nd prime minister of the country by the National Assembly to form the government at the Centre.
