Saudi crown prince’s visit to further strengthen bilateral relations: PM Khan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Sunday that Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman’s visit to Pakistan is a sign that bilateral and economic relationship are strengthening between both the Islamic brotherly countries, Radio Pakistan reported. 

In an interview with Jeddah based Saudi daily newspaper, he said the main highlight of Saudi crown prince visit will be the signing of the memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in respect of the oil refinery, which is Saudi Arabia’s largest investment in Pakistan’s history.

The PM said in the diplomatic sphere, the two nations can join hands to effectively to mobilize the international community for amicable resolution of festering disputes such as Kashmir and Palestine.

He said the two brotherly countries can also exert their influence in facilitating peace process in Afghanistan and for the strengthening of Muslim Ummah to utilize the platform of Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said Saudi Arabia is very close to our heart in every respect and Pakistan will not allow anyone to attack Saudi Arabia.

He said Pakistan will always stand with Saudi Arabia whenever it faces a threat in any form to its security and sovereignty.

Responding to a query, the PM said Pakistan will not take part in any other war and believes in solution of all the problems through talks.

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman arriving Pakistan on a maiden visit to the country on Sunday (today).

During his two-day visit, the crown prince will be accompanied by a high-powered delegation, including members of Saudi Royal family, key ministers and leading businessmen.

It has been reported that agreements of huge investment worth 20 billion dollars on behalf of the Saudi Arabian government will be inked during the visit of Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.
