Saudi, UAE envoys calls on information minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said Pak-Saudi ties are rooted in common faith and shared aspirations of people.

Speaking to Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki on Tuesday, the federal minister said Pakistan has always valued its cordial and friendly relations with the brotherly country.

He said the recent visit of Saudi Minister for Culture and Information Dr Awad Bin Saleh Al-Awad to Pakistan has further strengthened bilateral ties.

The Saudi ambassador said Saudi Arabia considers Pakistan as a friend with whom Riyadh enjoys time-tested close relations.

The information minister also held a separate meeting with the Ambassador of United Arab Emirates Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi.

He said Pakistan attaches great importance to its friendly and fraternal relations with brotherly people and government of United Arab Emirates.

He added that strong mutual relationship is immensely beneficial for the people of both countries and a huge number of Pakistani expatriates were working in UAE and contributing to its economy.

The UAE envoy said that they also share common views with Pakistan government regarding its agenda to raise the standard of living of the general public.
