Khursheed Shah, while speaking in the lower house, said that he had a sleepless night after the news of Pakistan Army playing the role of a mediator between government and protesting parties to settle the dispute.

“A game of terrorism is being played in the name of democracy but Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will stand like a wall with the constitution and the Parliament”, Shah said.

“Those who want to burn down Islamabad can do so but we will not allow a page of the constitution to be burned”, he added.

Opposition leader, while addressing Nawaz Sharif, said that an attempt was made to defame his politics.

Khursheed Shah also said that the elements, who requested the military to play the role of a mediator in the political crisis, should be exposed.
