MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday termed claims of the imposition of governor’s rule in Sindh as baseless and concocted

Speaking to media, he said the resolution of issues faced by the people is priority of the PTI government.

He said there is no denial of the fact that the creation of south Punjab province is essential, adding a committee has been established for the purpose.

Mr Qureshi said no key decisions would be taken without consultation with stakeholders.

Talking to reporters in Multan a day earlier, the foreign minister said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is symbol of cordial ties between the two countries.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold important talks with top Chinese leadership during his visit to China from 2nd of next month, which will yield positive results for the country.

Replying to a question, Mr Qureshi urged Afghanistan to avoid blame game in the wake of Kandahar attack, which he said took place due to their own security lapse.

He said the Afghan authorities should investigate how the attackers managed to reach the sensitive place.

The foreign minister said Pakistan always wants good ties with all its neighbours, including Afghanistan.
