In response to Shah Rukh Khan’s statement that India intolerance was rising in India and that he would fight for the right of Pakistanis to work in India, the BJP MP likened Khan to alleged Mumbai mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

“Shah Rukh Khan and terrorist Hafiz Saeed speak the same language,” said the BJP MP. Earlier, another BJP leader had said that the recent hue and cry from Shah Rukh was a ploy, since India was about to be awarded a seat at the United Nations Security Council.

Shah Rukh Khan lives in India but his heart is in Pakistan. His films earn crores here but he sees India as an intolerant nation. If this is not sedition, then what is it? India is on the verge of becoming a permanent member of the United Nations (Security Council), but everyone including Pakistan are conspiring to derail it”, Kailash Vijaybargiya had tweeted.

Adityanath also stated that this was not the first time that the Dilwale actor was doing this.

“We welcome that people go there(Pakistan), at least people who defame India will understand their own originality,” he added.

Shah Rukh Khan had stated his reservations over rising intolerance in India by saying “There is intolerance, there is extreme intolerance… there is, I think… there is growing intolerance.”

After intolerance rose to a new level altogether in India in which more than 50 historians returned their awards and 40 writers also returned their awards. Shah Rukh also appreciated those writers and historians for having the courage to return their awards in protest.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has also spoken out against the intolerance meted out to minorities, especially Muslims. However, so far the Dabangg actor has not earned the ire of BJP. We’ll have to wait and see…
