Shehbaz to hold ‘key’ meeting with Fazl today
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Aurangzeb said on Monday Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif will hold an important meeting with Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman today.
She in a statement said that the two leaders will discuss current political situation and devise future strategy.
The PML-N leader said an agenda of the proposed all party conference, the budget 2019-20 and consultation with other opposition parities will come under discussion.
Key PML-N leaders will also accompany the party president during the meeting with the JUI-F chief, she added.
The meeting will take place a day after PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met over lunch at the former’s Jati Umra residence in Raiwind.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, the PPP leader vowed not to allow the government to pass the ‘anti-public budget’ at any cost.
“I have held discussion over all matters with Maryam Nawaz. We have agreed for not letting the anti-public budget to get approved. PPP will continue its public contact campaign in order to highlight its message before the nation.”
