Shehbaz says NAB failed to prove charges against him

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has failed to prove any charges against him.

Responding to questions put to him by reporters at the Parliament House, he said the Bureau couldn’t prove anything against him till the Day of Judgment.

Shehbaz, who is also president of the PML-N, didn’t respond when he was asked if he is ready to make a compromise to get away with corruption charges levelled against him.

About the PTI government’s performance in its initial 100 days, he said he would talk about it on the floor of the house.

A session of the lower house of Parliament got underway today with its deputy speaker Qasim Suri in the chair.

NAB officials brought the PML-N president to the Parliament House to attend the session.
