Sindh governor inaugurates complaint cell to address public issues

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Monday launched a complaint cell for citizens to address public issues and to ensure transparency in government’s offices.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Governor’s Complaint Cell,  Imran Ismail said vowed to provide relief to the citizens at their doorsteps and added that the government would address all the issues being faced by the masses.

He asked the people to drop their complaints at the Governor’s Complaint Cell or lodged complaints at www.governorsindh.gov.pk. The governor assured prompt action over the complaints.

He directed all the provincial departments to fully cooperate with the cell and asked them to ensure timely response of any query or complaint forwarded to them so that unnecessary hassle to masses could be halted.

Imran Ismail also directed all the focal persons of local and provincial departments that they should focus on resolving the public issues on priority basis.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan on December 16, had  urged the citizens to use the Pakistan Citizen Portal for effective resolution of their issues.

In a tweeter statement, the prime minister had said the people should use the complaint portal launched on Oct 28 to get immediate response and effective resolution of their issues.

He had said: “172000 complaints received in last 47 days of which 59000 resolved & others in process. Of these, 29000 ppl gave feedback with 57% expressing 100% satisfaction.”
