Six TTP commanders announce allegiance to IS

PESHAWAR: Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid and five other key commanders of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have announced their allegiance to the Islamic State (IS), ARY News reported on Tuesday.

In their statements at social media the six TTP leaders have announced their allegiance to Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi of the Islamic State.

In statements issued in Arabic, Urdu and Pashto Shahidullah Shahid said he and five TTP district chiefs have announced their allegiance to IS.

He said apart of him TTP amir for Orakzai Agency Saeed Khan, TTP’s Kurram Agency chief Daulat Khan, Fateh Gul Zaman, who heads TTP in Khyber Agency, TTP’s Peshawar chief Mufti Hassan and TTP’s Hangu chief Khalid Mansoor have announced their allegiance to Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi.
