A Pakistani artist’s video of her drawing a portrait of Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken the Internet by a storm.

Sonia Nisa, a Pakistani calligrapher and painter, currently based in Qatar, paid tribute to the Prime Minister Imran Khan by drawing his portrait.

But not just an ordinary portrait. She drew the facial features of the premier by writing the lyrics of Pakistan’s national anthem in such a design that upon completion, the calligraphy matches a portrait of the Pakistani prime minister.

Nisa explained about her project in her Instagram post and included a timelapse video of her working on the project.

“This project took me about 8 to 10 hours to complete, and I was up awake painting it until 2am on Monday so I could possibly gift it to him when he visits Qatar the next day (Tuesday 22nd Jan 2019) but unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to meet him nor pass the gift onto him”, she wrote.

She, however, says that her work will be showcased at Doha’s famed Souq Waqif Art Center during their upcoming art exhibition.

Nisa asked the digital community to help spread her work so that she might be able to present the portrait to the premier someday.

Watch the video as she works tirelessly to produce a magnificent piece of art.
