Slain SP Tahir Dawar’s family meets PM Khan

ISLAMABAD: The family of martyred Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar met Prime Minister Imran Khan here on Monday.

During the meeting, the prime minister assured the family of the slain police officer of all possible support of the government.

He said that the police department was deprived of a responsible and dutiful police officer.

The prime minister said that the senior cop was a brave and dutiful officer and his loyalty and braveness was a source of proud for the police department.

He expressed condolences with the family and prayed for the departed soul. Minister of State for Interior Shaharyar Khan Afridi, special assistant to the prime minister Iftikhar Durrani and Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were also present at the meeting.

Tahir Khan Dawar, who was kidnapped from Islamabad’s G-10/4 area on Oct 26, was murdered in Afghanistan as his tortured body was found in Dur Baba district of Nangarhar province last week.
