Noorani was dismissed in the light of probe report compiled by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East Amir Farooqi. He was asked to report at the police lines.
On the other hand, AIG Karachi has also penned a letter to IGP Sindh Kaleem Imam, urging him to take departmental action against Noorani over threatening the affected family.
Tahir Noorani was seen in a video footage purportedly threatening family to withdraw the case against the hospital administration and telling them ‘the hospital wouldn’t suffer, instead you will bear the brunt of problems…”
He also threatened the girl’s father, Qaiser Ali, with dire consequences over raising voice against criminal negligence of the hospital administration which paralysed a minor girl due to the administration of wrong injection.
A video, which was acquired by ARY News, showed that Noorani was interacting with Qaiser Ali in presence of other people reportedly inside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
