Speaker NA stresses for prompt action to overcome financial crunch

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Thursday said that at present the country was facing financial crunch and it was necessary to take immediate measures to overcome those difficulties.

“With national solidarity and consensus, we can lead the country on the path of progress and prosperity,” he said in a meeting with the central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhary at the Parliament House in Islamabad.

He appreciated the role of Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhary for mobilizing party workers in Punjab.

The matters pertaining to overall political and economic situation in the country were discussed.

The speaker said that people had lots of expectations from the current parliament and he was trying to come up to the expectations of the people. He said that to solve the issues of national importance through parliament was in the best interest of the country.

“It is my utmost desire to bring the issues of national importance on the floor of the House,” he said.

He said that peaceful environment of the House was necessary for enactment of effective legislation and consultation will be made to achieve this objective with leaders of the parliamentarian parties in the National Assembly.

“We have to work together to uphold sanctity of the parliament and stability of democracy in the country,” he said.

Ejaz Chaudhary said that the government of Punjab was taking steps to resolve the public issues and to eradicate poverty, corruption, illiteracy and unemployment, according to the Prime Minister Imran Khan vision.
