Taking steps to provide business friendly environment in country: Khusro Bakhtyar

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Khusro Bakhtyar has said government was taking various steps to provide business friendly environment to local industries to boost national economy, ARY News reported on Thursday.

This he stated while talking to a delegation of Constructors Association of Pakistan, who called on him in the federal capital today.

“Putting the country’s economy back on the track is top priority of the incumbent government,” the minister said.

Mr Bakkhtyar said the construction industry can play an important role in implementing the PTI government’s vision to construct five million houses for low income groups.

He said five million housing project, besides addressing housing issues, will also generate economic activities through creation of jobs as well as provide boost to allied sectors including construction.

Khusro Bakhtyar said the government is determined to resolve issues of the local construction industries by providing them level playing field as they are the important partners in development of the country.

Back in the month of October, Khusro Bakhtyar had said that the economic experts should work hard for formulating a comprehensive strategy under next five-year plan envisaging all aspects for attaining sustained economic growth.

While chairing a meeting on 12th Five Year Plan, Khusro Bakhtyar underscored the need that five year plan should be realistic and contribute to real economic growth.
