Strict enforcement on kite flying ban in Punjab ordered

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered complete ban on flying kites in Lahore and other parts of the province.

CM Buzdar has instructed for strong action against the violation of the kite flying ban after a youngster lost his life in one such incident at Lahore’s Bhati Gate.

The chief minister offered his condolence to the grieving family and has called for a detailed investigation and report of the incident from DIG operations Lahore.

Buzdar further said that strict action should be taken against anyone breaking the law.

He further expressed his disappointment over the lack of seriousness shown regarding the implementation of ban by general public and officials that resulted in this unfortunate incident.

He ordered officials to ensure a complete ban and anyone violating the law should be held accountable and punished.

Kite flying and usage of metal strings have been banned in Punjab after scores of incidents were reported, some leading to unfortunate loss of human lives.
