Three policemen killed in Karachi gun attack

KARACHI: At least three policemen were killed when armed riders opened fire on their vehicle in Korangi area of Karachi, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to details, unidentified armed riders opened fire on Awami Colony Police Station vehicle in Awami Colony area of Korangi, leaving two policemen and a 10 year old kid dead at the spot. Another cop was injured during the gun attack and was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his wounds and died.

One of the martyred policemen was an ASI while other two were police constables.

This is the second attack on policemen in a month as on June 23, four policemen were killed in a gun attack in Karachi’s SITE area when they were breaking their fast near Siemens Chowrangi.

Severely injured, they were being moved to hospital but they breathed their last on their way to the hospital.
