ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar while supporting Prime Minister Imran Khan’s move of reshuffling the federal cabinet on Monday said it’s a routine exercise in world, but has happened first time in Pakistan.
Talking to ARY News’ program Bakhabar Sawera, Dr said reshuffling in the cabinet is a routine exercise around the globe. “The ministers are changed on the basis of performance”, he continued.
He said , the prime minister has the Punjab and Khyber Pakhutunkhuwa chief ministers to analyse the performance of their respective teams.
“Change can take anywhere including Punjab on basis of the performance”, he said.
Replying to a query about opposition threatening to hit the street, he said he feels pity over opposition, whose leaders are busy in getting bails from the court, with what agenda they will hit the streets?, he asked.
Federal cabinet on Thursday saw a major reshuffle with the resignation of Asad Umar as finance minister and appointment of noted economist Hafeez Shaikh as Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance.
Minister of State for Interior Shaheryar Afridi has been made Minister of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON).

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry was given the Science and Technology portfolio which had been without a minister since December last year after Azam Khan Swati’s resignation.
Ms Firdous Aashiq Awan is set to replace Fawad Chaudhry but as a Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting as she is not a parliamentarian.
