Karachi: Woman confesses killing husband with children’s help

KARACHI: A woman on Saturday confessed killing her husband along with the help of her children after a heated argument over his affair with some other woman, ARY News reported.

According to details, police were able to solve the mystery of the murder of a rice trader named Abdul Sattar after his widow and children confessed killing him during a heated argument over his alleged affair with some woman.

Abdul Sattar’s widow told police that her husband was abusive and used to beat her over minor domestic issues which angered her and her children.

“I had doubts that he has an affair with some other woman after I read two messages on his phone and dialed the number, only to hear a woman’s voice on the other side… that day, when he came I asked him about his affair upon which he started beating me and tried to strangle me,” said the woman.

She added that once her husband held her by her neck and tried to strangle her, she and her children immediately attacked him and started beating him with a cricket bat and some kitchen utensils.

“I and my children went mad and started beating him,” said the woman.

Police say the beating eventually led to the trader’s death.

The woman and her three children have been arrested and are being interrogated.

The trader’s body was recovered from Alfalah Society area of the Karachi after which the family claimed that he died in an accident but investigation revealed that he was murdered at home.
