MARDAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday spoke to an election rally in Mardan and told people of the city that political parties PML-N, PPP and ANP can’t give them a prosperous Pakistan for they are being run by corrupt people, ARY News reported.

“Political parties headed by corrupt people cannot eradicate corruption, for example, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) cannot do that for their head is corruption’s Godfather, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) too can’t do that for Asif Zardari is king of corruption,” said Imran Khan.

He also lambasted his main rival in the city, the Awami National Party (ANP) by saying that even if their candidates win elections, they won’t be able to provide employment, strengthen institutions or eradicate corruption.

The PTI chief maintained that his party’s government held accountable its own minister Ziaullah Afridi, who then left the party for PPP, and freed police of political influence so that everyone can trust the law enforcement agency.

‘Today, KP police is best (in the country), so if people elect us to rule the country on July 25. (We will not let) people like Shehbaz Sharif to oppress people using Punjab police and people like Asif Zardari who kill youths like Naqeebullah Mehsud through cops like Rao Anwar.. God willing, we will implement similar reforms in the whole country,” said Imran Khan.
