Zia, Fawad, Babar star in Pakistan 'A's big triumph against Kenya

With a big target of 266 runs on board, the visiting Kenyan batting line collapsed and scored a paltry total of 51 runs. Lucas Oluoch (18 not out) and skipper Shem Ngoche (11 runs) could reach double figures.

Left-arm pacer Zia-ul-Haq hauled five wickets for Pakistan ‘A’ and conceding only nine runs. Shahzaib Ahmed also bowled well and captured three wickets.

Earlier, opener Babar Azam batted well and put Pakistan in commanding position. The 20year-old batsman lost his wicket with a century just around the corner after having scored 97.

Later experienced middle order batsman and skipper Fawad Alam took the charge and played a quick and unbeaten 84-run knock off 61 balls including ten boundaries to post 265-5 in 45 overs.

It is Pakistan ‘A’s third consecutive victory against visitors in the five-match series.
