FBR rules out further extension in filing of tax returns

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) said on Tuesday there will be no further extension in the deadline for filing income tax returns for the tax year 2021, ARY News reported.

The FBR spokesperson denied reports regarding a supposed extension in the tax returns date.

The tax collection body in a statement has asked taxpayers to submit annual tax returns before September 30.

The FBR advised all taxpayers not to wait for the last date to avoid system delays which occur when a large number of taxpayers log in for submission of returns near the deadline.
