FIA begins investigation into corruption of PIA’s Revenue Management Department

FIA has decided to get court’s show cause orders issued for the officers who are avoiding appearance before the investigation agency.

Sources said FIA had summoned six PIA officers, Muhammed Mushtaq, Owais Hameed, Asim Badar, Azhar Javed, Sajida Ali and Faisal Raza, on different dates before Eid-ul-Adha holidays.

The officers summoned by FIA are holding the posts of manager UK route, country manager, sales promotion officer, staff officer to country manager, general manager finance and a senior officer in PIA.

The investigation is focused at tickets sold at London sector by travel agents. The duration of corruption in the revenue management department spans several years, said sources.

The investigation started on request by PIA itself. FIA has also written to Chief Operating Officer.
