Fans of Japanese action-adventure game Nioh will be pleased to hear that the final piece of the DLC titled “Bloodshed’s End” will be releasing later this month on September 26.
Tom Lee, Creative Director at publisher and developed Team Ninja made the announcement on the official Playstation blog saying the DLC will be the perfect way to conclude the final chapter of the bloody Sengoku period.
Lee also shared that the DLC will pick up right after Defiant Honor, with the Siege of Osaka’s winter campaign was put to end after a peace negotiation between Toyotomi and Tokugawa.
However, trouble is brewing in Osaka Castle which will lead to yet another uprising and war just after the events of the winter campaign.
The conditions were harsh as Osaka Castle lost its secondary and tertiary enclosures, as well as its inner and outer moats, leaving just the main enclosure for the defeated.
The situation has led to an uprising and another war broke out just months after the winter campaign. However, this is the final phase of the Sengoku-era and the end of William’s journey.
This is also another interesting feature of Bloodshed’s End called The Abyss where “the strongest warriors can test their skills in a perpetual battleground.” This new mode offers epic battles and unique challenges for the most skilled players.
Lee said the DLC will provide players with the usual suspects to complete their Nioh experience including “new Yokai, new characters, a new difficulty level and new Guardian Spirits.”
“You have fought well against insurmountable odds, slain countless deadly Yokai, defied death again and again… but there remains one more brutal trial,” he wrote.
Lee hoped the players will celebrate the final chapter of the remarkable Sengoku era with Bloodshed’s End launching September 26.
