A passenger bus collided with a truck, resulting deaths of five people on the spot. Around 10 persons were also injured in the accident near Nooriabad, Super Highway. The identification process of the victims is underway. However, passenger van driver was identified as Ameer Ali. The deceased also include children and women.
The bus was hailing from Sukkur to Karachi when the accident occurred. Rescue teams were immediately called to the site, who helped shifting the bodies and injured to LMU Hospital.
Rescue sources said speeding seemed to be cause behind accident. Police also reached the spot and cordoned off the area to let the rescue activities completed. Police said the deceased mostly belonged to Karachi and Hyderabad.
