During the meeting, the Iranian deputy foreign minister expressed the desire of cooperation in all issues of mutual interest on behalf of his leadership.

Pakistan and Iran continue to enjoy strong cooperation with each other in political, economic and regional cooperation.

It may be noted that Iranian Interior Minister Abdol-Reza Rahmani-Fazli in a statement last month said Iran was ready to collaborate with Pakistan in fight against terrorism by carrying out joint border operations and putting in place an effective intelligence sharing mechanism.

Fazli said the two countries could carry out joint border operations and enjoy much intelligence cooperation.
