KARACHI: A four-day motor sports event titled ‘ Lifebuoy Jhal Magsi Desert Rally 2017’ came to an end on Sunday with a participation of drivers from various parts of Pakistan.
The thrilling motor sports event at Balochistan’s Jhal Magsi district was held under the aegis of ARY Digital Network. The event was attended by a number of national dignitaries and officials of local administration.
The final track of around 200 kilometres long, was tightly contested between 24 drivers. However, king of desert race Nadir Magsi clinched the trophy in final round after leaving his competitors behind in the desert race.
The event began on December 14, which concluded on Dec 17.
Personnel of Pakistan Rangers and Balochistan Levies were deployed to ensure the security of the event, besides all other necessary arrangements including paramedical staff and tow trucks were also placed along the 200-metres long track race.
Talking exclusively to ARY News, the winner – Nadir Magsi – said it was the toughest track, which he said, was extremely difficult to finish.
The event, under the theme ‘gear up for the rush’, was organised to provide entertainment to thousands of sports enthusiasts gathered for the event, coming to an end on Sunday.
