Four killed, 12 injured in passenger coach-dumper collision

ATTOCK: Four people lost their lives and 12 others were wounded in a head on collision between a passenger coach and a dumper in Attock on early Friday morning.

As per details about the dreadful incident took place at Kohat road near Khandar mor, resulting in death of four persons on the stop and injuries to a dozen.

The bodies and injured were moved to hospital. The bodies will be handed over to the heirs after identification.

According to the rescue sources, the incident took place due to over speeding, details will be shared later after completion of the investigation.

Earlier, on March 30, at least seven people, including six female students, died while two others suffered injuries when a speeding bus rammed into a rickshaw near Sarai Muhajir, Bhakkar.

According to police, the girls were on their way home after appearing in the examinations when the bus crashed into the rickshaw near a petrol pump in Sarai Muhajir. The deceased were identified as Iqra Rafiq, Sawera Shafiq, Ifat Ahmed, Mariyam Ashraf, Mehreen Yaqoob, Sobia Arshad, and rickshaw driver Imran.

Two students identified as Sana Perveen and Sania Batool suffered wounds and were rushed to the DHQ Bhakkar from where Perveen was referred to the Nishter Hospital due to her critical condition.
