QUETTA: At least four people, three women among them, died and eight others were wounded when a passenger coach collided with a tractor-trolley in the provincial capital on Sunday morning, ARY News reported.
Police and rescue sources said the accident took place near Akhtarabad neighbourhood of the city when a fast-moving coach crashed into a tractor-trolley, leaving four people dead and eight others injured.
On being informed of the accident, rescue officials said, they immediately reached the site of the accident and shifted the dead and injured to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital where some of the injured are stated to be in precarious condition.
They said the exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
Road accidents are common in Pakistan due to poor condition of vehicles, rash driving, underage driving, bad condition of roads, dim or no street lights and violation of traffic rules.
Earlier on April 07, at least eight people died and about two dozen others injured when a passenger coach fell into a deep gorge in Quetta.
A Quetta bound passenger coach coming from Karachi skidded off the road due to over speeding and plunged into a ravine near Lak Pass in Mastung, according to rescue officials.
