KAHAN: Frontier Corps (FC) gunned down a suspected terrorist in an encounter in Kahan area of Balochistan on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
An FC spokesman said that large scale search operations were carried out against saboteurs in Naseerabad and Kohlu districts of Balochistan.
A terrorist affiliated with an outlawed group was killed in an exchange of fire with the para-military force during the raid.
Meanwhile, a large cache of arms were seized from Chattar area which included 101 mortar shells, 99 fuses, explosive materials and a sub-machine gun.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, while addressing officers and troops of Southern Command and Frontier Corps Balochistan as part of his farewell visits recently said that the tide in Balochistan has turned against terrorists and their sympathisers.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Sardar Sanaullah Zehri has also said that the fight will continue till eradication of the terrorists from the province.
