KARACHI: Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd (GO) has contributed in funding for Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam by Rs10 million, also the employee’s salary of 3 days will be donated in the Dam funding account 2018 making it a total of Rs12 million.
Nowadays, Pakistan is facing acute problems related to water and its storage. Therefore, CJP Mian Saqib Nisar during a verdict last week, took an immediate decision related to completion of dams Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand, in order to save Pakistan and its economy from drastic issues of water scarcity.
According to sources, water level at Tarbela dam is very low for the survival of people, due to which the authorities are directed by Chief Justice of Pakistan to take proceedings on instantaneous basis.
In addition to this, the apex court has also requested the people living inside Pakistan or abroad to cooperate in donation as much as possible in funding of dams, so that water scarcity can be refrained and a better Pakistan can be established.
