Govt backed out from talks as Qadri went abroad, claims Imran

Addressing his workers and supporters at the PTI sit-in camp, Imran Khan said that the government had agreed upon the formation of a judicial commission as well as the inclusion of officials from some key intelligence agencies (IAs) to probe the matter of electoral irregularities.

He also showed documentary evidence of government’s consent on these points.

“The government backed out as soon as the PAT chief, Dr Tahirul Qadri went abroad for it had witnessed that the ever mounting pressure upon it was lowered considerably”, said the PTI chairman.

He also lamented that the Lahore Police brutally baton charged the disabled persons today, who were demanding for their rights.

Bashing the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), he said that the commission first stated that no extra ballots were printed for the May 11 polls, yet now it has entirely shifted its stance.

Khan said that no one can beat Nawaz Sharif at rigging of elections, however if a transparent election ever took place in the country his opponents will be deprived of their surety bonds.

Moreover, he asked the government to hold talks with his party, if it is serious and concerned about the loss of the nation.
