TOP NEWS

Speaking to media in Lahore today, Siraj-ul-Haq said 21st constitutional amendment will hurt democracy.

He expressed ignorance while describing passage of the 21st Amendment. “I don’t know who pressurized the government to do so but it will negatively affect democratic progress of the country”, he added.

Haq complained that targeting religious schools (Madaris) through new legislation will put question mark on the future of millions of youngsters studying there.

JI chief urged government to rethink about the decision of establishing military courts, adding that it was not the solution to the problem.

“Courts gave verdicts for executions of terrorists but government restricted implementation” said Siraj-ul-Haq.

Haq also suggested people to offer special prayers for rainfall in the country.
