Happy New Year gets the best film award at Stardust

Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest hit of the year ‘Happy New Year’ swept the stardust Awards by winning maximum awards in different categories.
The 14th ceremony of Stardust Awards was held in Mumbai last week where Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year won maximum awards. The movie got best film award, Farah Khan won the category of dream director, Shah Rukh Khan bagged the Star of the Year and Best Actor (thriller) award whereas beautiful Deepika won the Star of the Year category.
Looks like women-centric roles got all the praises since Kangana Ranaut got the Best Actor female award for her outstanding acting in Queen, Priyanka received Best Actress (drama) for Mary Kom and Rani Mukerji was named as the Best Actress (Thriller) for her role in ‘Mardaani’.
Shahid Kapoor also got the Best Actor (drama) award for his remarkable performance in Haider. Director of Highway Imtiaz Ali shared the trophy with Queen’s director Vikas Bahl.
The star-studded evening was hosted by superstars like Shah Rukh, Madhuri Dixit and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Amitabh Bachchan was named as the international icon of the year.
