Hashmi expounds on airdropping of pamphlets in Multan

Javed Hashmi claimed only Rs.40,000 were spent on airdropping of pamphlets in Multan, adding the ECP had also allowed Dr. Tahirul Qadri to airdrop his pamphlets in 2002 elections.

Hashmi informed that a man named Azhar Baloch booked helicopter from Multan Flying Club and used it for airdropping pamphlets seeking support for Hashmi in Multan NA-149 by-polls tomorrow.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has also taken notice of airdropping of pamphlets in Multan, which is deemed as violation of the ECP code of conduct.

A petition has also been filed in a court against Hashmi for violating ECP code of conduct ahead of the by-polls in NA-149 on October 16 (tomorrow).
