Marvel fans are in for a treat, as the superstar Hugh Jackman is back to reprise his popular character of Wolverine in the upcoming ‘Deadpool 3’.

Jackman fans can get excited as they will be able to see him in the favourite character one more time, as opposed to previous conjecture which followed his last appearance as Wolverine in ‘Logan’ (2017).

As confirmed by the titular lead of ‘Deadpool 3’, Ryan Reynolds himself in the latest social media post, Hugh Jackman will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wolverine in the upcoming film slated for 2024 release.

Reynolds recorded a new video to excuse his skip from the D23 expo which took place earlier this month. “Hey everyone, we’re extremely sad to have missed D23, but we’ve been working very hard on the next ‘Deadpool’ film for a good long while now,” said ‘The Adam Project’ star in the clip.

Reynolds further enthralled fans by saying, “I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning.”

“Every ‘Deadpool’ needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside. And I…I have nothing. Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying. But we did have one idea,” he elaborated before getting in the ‘Hugh’ surprise.

Reynolds asked, “Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” while Jackman walked by in the background.

The clip concluded as Jackman replied, “Yeah, sure, Ryan,” and ‘I Will Always Love You’ by Whitney Houston played in the background. The video ended with the ‘Deadpool’ logo which was soon sliced up by Wolverine’s claws.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shawn Levy, who has directed Reynolds in ‘The Adam Project’ and ‘Free Guy’ has once again collaborated with the Hollywood star for ‘Deadpool 3’. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are also back to write the third instalment in the ‘Deadpool’ franchise after two successful films.

‘Deadpool 3’ will hit theatres on September 6, 2024.
