IBA Karachi Celebrates Class of 2025 at Grand Convocation Ceremony

Karachi, December 06, 2025 – The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, held its annual Convocation for the Class of 2025 at the Main Campus, marking a momentous occasion where 1,046 graduates were conferred degrees across various disciplines.
The graduating batch was comprised of a diverse group of achievers, including 780 graduates from Undergraduate Programs, 259 graduates from Postgraduate Programs, and 7 PhD graduates.
New Programs Celebrate First Cohorts
Convocation 2025 was particularly significant as it celebrated the first graduating cohorts of the MS Data Science and MS Marketing programs, highlighting IBA’s commitment to adapting its curriculum to meet the demands of emerging fields.
Dignitaries Praise Graduates and Institution
The ceremony was graced by the Honorable Minister for Universities and Boards, Sindh, Mr. Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Founder of the Akhuwat Foundation, as the Guest of Honor.
Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA, extended his applause to the graduating students for their dedication and perseverance. He emphasized the institution’s commitment to its students, stating, “We are now a very diverse community of faculty and students — a coherent group working towards better knowledge and shaping every IBA graduate.” He further added, “IBA is building value in outstanding students who join our institution, and it is our responsibility to ensure that the best minds in Pakistan receive the best education in Pakistan.”
Guest of Honor Dr. Amjad Saqib praised IBA for producing exceptional young individuals. “Today is a day of joy and celebration for these young graduates. It marks the rise of a new dawn — the recognition of a milestone achieved,” he remarked.
Chief Guest Mr. Ismail Rahoo expressed his honor in celebrating excellence and the promise of a bright future. He commended IBA for upholding its reputation as one of Pakistan’s premier institutions, known for academic distinction and innovation. He also noted that IBA’s AACSB accreditation places it among the top 6% of business schools worldwide.
Awards and Recognition
The ceremony featured the recognition of position holders across various degree programs who were awarded Medals, Shields, and Merit Certificates.
A special ‘Excellence in Sports’ Award was presented to Archery & Shooting Champion, Muhammad Ahmad (BS Account & Finance Student, Class of 2024), for his outstanding achievements in the sports arena.
