Imran Khan, Erdogan only two leaders of current century: Bushra Imran

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi on Thursday said that her husband and Turkish president Tayyab Erdogan are the only two leaders of the current century, ARY News reported.

“When God wants to develop a nation and steer it out of crisis, He gives them a great and selfless leader like Imran Khan. So I believe only Imran Khan put this country on the path of development,” Bushra Imran told a private television channel during an interview.

The first lady was of the view that Imran Khan can’t be termed a politician as he is a leader for a leader turns around the fortunes of the people.

“There is no leader of Imran Khan’s stature in Pakistan, in fact, this century only produced two leader i.e. Imran Khan and Erdogan,” said Bushra Bibi, adding that Pakistanis are lucky to have a selfless leader like Imran Khan.

She was of the view that seldom do nations get such leaders who are as selfless as Imran Khan as he wants nothing for himself but his nation.

About Imran Khan’s spiritual journey, she said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was basically a pure and pious soul and needed guidance to come to the right path.

“Now, Imran Khan’s life belongs to Allah, His Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and Baba Fareed (R.A),” said Bushra Bibi.

The first lady said that some people say Imran Khan doesn’t pray or doesn’t know how to pray but not only does he offers farz (obligatory) prayers but offer nawafil (optional prayers)

“Every day, while leaving for office, he raises his hands and prays to God for help,” said the first lady.

She also revealed the beside praying five times a day, Imran Khan doesn’t even go to sleep without reciting tasbeeh.

The lady also answered questions about rumours surrounding her pre-iddat marriage with Imran Khan and expulsion of PTI chief’s pet dog from his house and denied both the rumours.
