LAHORE: Hours before a grand show at Minar-i-Pakistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday invited the nation to attend the gathering in large numbers.

In a statement, the PTI chief said today is one of the most important day of the country’s political history. “Inshallah, a history will be made at Minar-i-Pakistan today,” he added.

He said they will decide together what would be the future of the country today and added that he will make one of the most important speech of his political career this evening.

He advised the people coming from outside Lahore to set out for the venue on time.

Meanwhile, a meeting of senior party leaders has been summoned to discuss and finalize the party chief’s “historic” speech that he will deliver at the gathering.

Khan, who arrived in Lahore a day earlier, said he will announce 10 points of party manifesto, focusing on the steps that the party would take if elected into power to turn the country’s economy around.

He visited the venue of the rally last night. Speaking to media he said this rally would be “mother of all jalsas.”

He said he had never seen such “junnoon” at the venue a night before the scheduled meeting.
