Indian forces open unprovoked fire on Sialkot working boundary

Punjab Rangers spokesman in a statement said that the Indian firing commenced at 8:30am, which is responded with retaliatory fire by Punjab Rangers.

No casualties or loss of life have been reported so far.

Incidents of unprovoked firing across the working boundary in Sialkot have occurred intermittently over the years. Recently these instances being repeated more frequently causing losses of life and property.

The two sides exchanged allegations of violation of ceasefire agreement.

A similar incident was also reported in January this year, when Indian BSF opened unprovoked intensified heavy mortar shelling on several Pakistani villages along the Working Boundary in Sialkot, killing four Pakistani civilians.
