Indian police recover Rs200,000 from house of trash pickers

A police party was astonished after it recovered Rs.200,000 from a roadside established house of three trash picker sisters in India.

As per details, three sisters namely Rajeshwari, 65, Vijay Laxmi, 60, and Parbhawati, 57 continue their livelihood by picking up trash in Chennai. A few days ago Parbhawati was mysteriously killed and her body was found along the roadside.

After finding the body, the police launched an investigation into the matter and reached the house of Rajeshwari and Vijay Laxmi.

The police team was shocked to see the pots and bags full of coins and currency notes of 500 and 1000 from the house, which is said to be more than two lacs Indian rupees in total.

Police also found gold ornaments and seven pounds from the house.

Talking to the police, Rajeshwari, the sister of the deceased Parbhawati, said their only source of earning is to pick up the trash from various parts of the city and sell the same against cash to earn bread and butter.
