Irfan dreams to follow Wasim's footsteps in World Cup

TOP NEWS

“I want to perform in the World Cup just as Wasim Akram did it in 1992 World Cup. I want to make my contribution in Pakistan’s campaign. I am hopeful we will retain the title Down Under,” Irfan said.

With pitches in Australia and New Zealand being bowler friendly, Pakistan is expecting Mohammad Irfan to put some impressive performance during the World Cup.

Irfan has also been taking tips from former pacer and coach Waqar Younis and also from his ideal Wasim Akram.

With a height of 7.1 feet, Irfan is the tallest player in international cricket history. Irfan’s height has enabled him to bounce the ball effectively, and in Australia and New Zealand, he will be an asset for Pakistan. However, though Irfan’s height helps him bowl well but it has also made him prone to injuries.
