Irina Shayk shares insights on raising her daughter Lea in the spotlight

Russian fashion model Irina Shayk is focused on helping her daughter, Lea, navigate the challenges of fame.

On November 17, The sports illustrated swin suit model shared with People, in an interview that she and her ex-partner Bradley Cooper work to ensure their 8-year-old feels comfortable with their celebrity status, emphasizing that Lea “clearly understands” their public facing jobs.

Shayk revealed that Lea has very limited digital access, explaining, “This is the best thing that you could give to your kid, raising them in a loving family”. She and Cooper prioritize building a supportive community and providing love is Lea’s life.

Understanding the pressures of beauty standards in their industry, Irina also seeks  to protect her daughter from these influences. A significant part of their strategy involves including Lea in their work; Shayk stated that when it comes to filmmaking, “she’s part of it”. Bradley echoed this sentiment, telling last month that having Lea involved is a natural part of their lives.

Bradley noted, “Kids say exactly what they think, and she has a big opinion about everything”. He values her input, even during casting auditions. Irina shares this perspective of integrating Lea into their personal and professional lives despite busy schedules, saying, “We always find a way.” She praised Bradley, stating, “He’s the best father Lea and I could dream of,” emphasizing their commitment to making co-parenting work.
