Jack Black join Dwayne Johnson in Jumanji remake

This was announced by co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on Instagram.
The reboot will be directed by Jake Kasdan and will released in July 2017. It will also star comedian Kevin Hart which Johnson termed “the Jumanji Breakfast Club.”
The original Jumaji was released in 1995 and stars Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst. The film had a slow opening on the box office but has now become a child-parent favorite and had left behind a legacy.
Johnson has also posted behind the scene action just a few days ago of the reboot. He also paid tribute to the Jumanji author Chris van Allsburg and late comedian Robin Williams who starred in the original film.
“An important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams. The love and respect I have for this man is boundless. You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of “Alan Parrish” will stand alone and be forever immortalized in the world of JUMANJI in an earnest and cool way. I have an idea of what to do and I think his family will be proud. I also think Robin is somewhere lookin’ down and laughing, remembering the first time we met backstage and I (for the first time ever) was a star struck bumbling idiot that couldn’t even get my words out. He literally calmed me down w/ that smile and laugh. But that’s for another fun story down the road”
The movie still needs one actor and one actress to fill out its core quintet and all eyes are now on Johnson’s feed. In April, Johnson confirmed that he was recruited by Sony to act in the remake.
