'JI not to be a part of any unconstitutional adventure'

LAHORE: Jamat e Islami (JI) while expressing its determination not to be a part of any unconstitutional adventure, has demanded the national institutions to remain within their prescribed limits and to abandon the way of conflict – ARY News reports.

According to details, a meeting of the JI central committee was held on Monday, which was presided by the JI Ameer, Siraj ul Haq. The meeting approved several resolutions and expressed its deep concerns on the military offensive in Waziristan.

JI officials said that the military operation will increase the chances of American and Indian interference in Pakistan, through Afghanistan.

They urged the Government to end deadlock in negotiations with Taliban.

JI leaders also said that it was a sadistic state of affairs that the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif did not meet the leaders of Tehreek Huriyat Kashmir, during his visit to India and overlooked the Kashmir Issue and state terrorism there.

While expressing concerns over confrontation between national institutions, JI leaders said that the Government has already increased the difficulties of the people, in its one year of rule and demanded all the national institutions to remain within their prescribed limits and to abandon the way of conflict.

Meanwhile, a resolution stated that despite of paying 480 billion rupees to Independent Power Producers (IPPs), circular debt has once again reached Rs 300 billion.

JI leaders said that the rates of electricity, gas and petroleum are being increased upon the conditions IMF and this way difficulties of a common man have been increased, instead of the provision of any relief.
