Judicial Commission grants one week to submit rigging evidence

Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Ejaz Afzal have been two other members of the commission, headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk.
The Judicial Commission inquiring into the rigging allegations in 2013 general elections directed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and other political parties to submit their evidence on election rigging within a week.
The Chief Justice also ordered the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) to submit its report on thumb impression verification to the commission withing one week.
The probe body also ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan to submit the reply of the allegations of PTI Chairman Imran Khan within a week.
The Chief Justice also put three questions before the political parties to reply including whether the elections were transparent or not (b) The polls were cheated in an organized manner or not (c) What decision be made if the allegations of rigging prove.
Justice Nasirul Mulk said the judicial commission’s investigation will take place in an open court.
The hearing was adjourned till the next week.
