“Jungle Law can’t prevail,” says Imran over Mardan University Murder

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan has condemned the cold-blooded murder of a student at Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan, ARY News reported.

Raising his voice on the incident, the chairman PTI tweeted that the ‘Law of Jungle’ cannot be prevailed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Mashal Khan, a student of Mass Communication department of Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan, was lynched by a vigilante mob on blasphemy allegations within the unversity premises.

Khan also stressed on firm action against the perpetrators.

Police reportedly arrested 70 people in connections with the brutal killing of a student so far and has constituted three teams to apprehend those who were reportedly on run.

The Inspector General (IG) KP has said that most of the perpetrators have been identified combing through the video footage.

Moreover, the university has been closed for an indefinite period after the clashes while an investigation of the incident has been underway.
