Justice Nasir ul Mulk to take oath as new CJ of Pakistan tomorrow

Justice Tassaduq Hussain took over the office of the CJ after the retirement of Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, he remained almost quiet during his short tenure, despite of an influential office he was holding up till now.

The number of suo-motu notices was also considerably lesser under the tenure of Justice Tassaduq, as compared to Justice Iftikhar’s time.

The President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain had already nominated Justice Nasir ul Mulk as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan, a few days ago, who will be taking oath tomorrow.

Justice Nasir was earlier serving as the acting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan.
