K-P Governor orders official reception of Faizullah Khan

Faizullah Khan, a Karachi based reporter associated with ARY News channel, was convicted by a Jalalabad court in Afghanistan to serve a four year jail for illegal entry in the country.

Faizullah returning to home after being released from an Afghan jail today. He will be received at Torkhum border with government protocol. Political Agent Khyber Agency Shahabuddin will receive the journalist on behalf of the government of Pakistan.

Tribal Union of Journalists will host a reception for Faizullah Khan.

According to reports, the imprisoned journalist was released from Afghan jail and handed over to Pakistan’s Consul General in Jalalabad Farmanullah Yousufzai.

Faizullah Khan has thanked friends and wellwishers for the efforts made for his release. He has expressed his gratitude to the ARY News management especially the President and CEO of ARY Mr. Salman Iqbal.

Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahirul Qadri has congratulated ARY News over the release of Faizullah Khan and lauded the services of the journalist for the country.
