Kamal asks Army chief to supervise Karachi development projects to make operation successful

KARACHI: Chairman Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Mustafa Kamal has asked the Army chief to take development projects in Karachi into his own hands to make anti-terrorist operation successful here, ARY News reported.

“By God, do not carry out Army operation alone. Bring development projects as well as you gave projects in Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa areas along anti-terrorism operation,” he said while addressing a mammoth crowd at Liaquatabad, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s stronghold.

Expressing concerns over provincial and local governments’ inaction in tackling issues, Kamal said the city was facing numerous issues.

All the local government bodies had been snatched from Karahiites, but Mummy Qaumi Movement did nothing for it, he said taunting at the MQM.

“Hospitals are in bad condition and medicines are hard to come by. Karachi’s residents are forced to drink sewage-mixed toxic water,” he said.

The PSP chief expressed remorse over the fact that Karachi was deprived of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)’s fruits.

He said the Sindh government spent billions of rupees in education sector but still 7 million children were out of schools.

Mustafa Kamal also asked from the military forces to pardon misled youth of Karachi in the same manner as was practiced in Balochistan.

“Forgive youth of Karachi like you did in Balochistan by taking weapons from criminals and giving them flowers and Rs0.5 m,” he said.
